FAQ

We provide places for children from 3 months up to 5 years old. We would love for you to pop in to meet us and see our nurseries in action, contact us here. Making sure the nursery is a perfect fit for your family is the first important step! From here we will help you with the booking process and ask for a registration fee of £50 to secure your child’s place.

The registration fee of £50 is taken when you book, this is non-refundable and is to cover the administration of booking as well as to hold your place. A deposit of one week’s fees is also required at the booking stage, which is then taken off your last invoice when you leave the setting (unless you leave within the first six months after your start date).

We do accept childcare vouchers and all funding for places. You can check which funding you are entitled to by visiting www.chilcarechoices.gov.uk.

We charge a small fee for consumables which allows us to continue to offer high quality food, resources and trips. You will never be asked to pay more for any of our activities (i.e. theatre trips). Please check our fee information for up-to-date charges.

We hold two inset days per year. These are weekdays on which the nursery is closed to families for staff training, in order to allow us to provide a consistently high quality service and allow staff to access continued professional development.

We close for all bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year. We do not charge for these days. We do charge for the inset days.

No, at this time we only offer full-day, year round, spaces from 8am-6pm, with an option of a 7:30am start/6:30pm collection for a small extra charge.

No, we provide all food (breakfast, lunch and tea, snacks throughout the day) plus nappies, changing materials and suncream. There is no extra charge for these items, they are included in the day rates.

We always ask parents to bring a change of clothes if possible – messy play is a core part of our ethos! We also ask parents to bring weather-appropriate outside clothing (warm hats and coats for the winter, sunhats for the summer) and welly boots in rainy weather.

Every day at nursery is a little different! We follow the children’s interests and these lines of enquiry can lead us out into Bath for a trip on the bus, to creating a messy art project in the garden or simply to building an incredible structure from blocks. We give children opportunities for rest/naps through the day, and share mealtimes at breakfast, lunch and dinner to encourage the social aspect of eating together.

We love our city, and we love going on trips to celebrate the amazing community our children are growing up in! These trips help the children to practice their social skills, build their confidence in the wider world and develop a sense of belonging which is essential to good mental wellbeing. They also help children to develop their safety awareness and skills while out and about.

We follow the NHS guidelines for exclusion when a child has an illness, you can check these here. If your child has experienced vomiting or diarrhoea they are unable to attend nursery for 48 hours after the most recent bout of illness.

Parking at both nurseries is available in a small car park attached to the premises. At Midford Road we also have permission to use the larger parking area of the mobility shop next door before 9am and after 5pm.

We believe that children learn best through having freedom to play and explore their interests.
